General Discussion

Cone Dystrophy is a rare disorder of the eye that is usually, but not invariably, inherited since the literature contains numerous case reports of this set of symptoms appearing for no apparent reason. The cells that receive light stimuli (cone cells and rod cells) in the retina of the eye deteriorate causing impaired vision. This disorder normally occurs during the first to third decades of life
