Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that about 600,000 people get gonorrhea each year.1

Approximately 75% of all cases of gonorrhea reported by health professionals to the CDC are in people 15 to 29 years old. Teenage girls ages 15 to 19 and men ages 20 to 24 have the highest rates of infection.2
