Cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder that usually occurs when gallstones block fluid (bile) inside the gallbladder. If bile is blocked, it builds up inside the gallbladder, causing swelling and pain.

Symptoms of cholecystitis include fever, pain in the upper abdomen, nausea, or vomiting.
