When preventing or healing a venous skin ulcer, make certain that you're getting enough vitamin C and flavonoids.

  • Research suggests that vitamin C can speed the healing of surgical wounds and pressure sores.1 Experts recommend a vitamin C dose of 1 g to 2 g per day for venous skin ulcer healing.2
  • Flavonoids, a class of plant-based compounds, are proven to help heal wounds, including venous skin ulcers.3 Experts recommend a daily dose of 1 g for healing venous skin ulcers.4
