Other conditions may have symptoms similar to carbon monoxide poisoning. These include:
- Viral infections, such as the flu.
- Migraine headaches.
- Food poisoning.
- Mental illnesses, such as anxiety or panic attacks.
- Transient ischemic attacks (TIA) or a stroke.
- Heart problems such as chronic heart failure or arrhythmias.
- Colic (in an infant).
- Injury to the brain or spinal cord (nervous system).
- Seizure.
