About 1 out of 5 adults over 55 have peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with symptoms.1 People who have the disease in one part of the body are likely to have it in other places, including the legs.
The risk for PAD increases with age. People who smoke or have diabetes are at a significantly higher risk for developing the disease.
