Carcinoid syndrome

Carcinoid syndrome is a rare and malignant disease that attacks the small intestine, stomach, and pancreas. Symptoms include flushing, diarrhea, and wheezing.

In carcinoid syndrome, slow-growing tumors can spread (metastasize) to the liver, lungs, and ovaries. In later stages, it may result in heart failure.
