High humidity is one of the worst things when you have a stuffy or running nose.

humidity may not help at all in humid climates - but sea salt in a Netti pot seems to work well. i have noticed when walking even in humid climates my nose dries out to the point where i cannot breath - i do not know why - if i knew why then i could address it. perhaps educating people as to what happens physically when sinus breathing is impossible would help us to cope ie prevent or treat if there is no over the counter products available when out on a walk. i think i will try a touch of horseradish via spoon in mouth to get a good mucus flow to blow and clear sinus - it might work to.

what about antihistamines? crazy to talk about allergy and leave these out.... i understand you are trying to exclude medicine, but to push a cough med without an antihistamine seems crazy.

I have a teenager who has battled all her life; most agree it's from the Chicken Pox Vaccination... at any rate, one thing that works for us is a Hot Mustard Bath. They sell the mustard powder either online or at some health food stores. When she starts to feel sick from allergies, I put her into a hot mustard bath and sweat her out. It works for all kinds of illness because it causes perfuse sweating. Hope this helps someone out there! ;) chow!

I have already been trying some of the things you mentioned in the article and they very helpful. People need to try them before going to a doctor. It would save them a big doctor bill.
