You can do it Tooch. I'm going to be like a tree. A very wise Shaman taught me this way of " being " Be like a tree and quit "doing" all the time. It wasn't easy like Dave said.....but once you learn how you will be full of gratitude forever. Gotta love this one Dave, I'm getting at a pretty good place and continue to learn everyday. Sounds like a good book to add to my B&N list. Nature can really help us alot. I practice all 4 tips and can say that they all work!!!!!

David this is fabulous material! I think that with all of todays gadgets and technology nature gets overlooked for its geniusness..I was on my way back from a trip and had to go through Wyoming, Very Windy across the plains...Some farmers were using rows of thick pine trees as protection and you could tell how it was sustaining, while others used man made fencing, not so sustaining..We can learn and use so much..I like your 4 step plan..and i love Butterflies, they can see everything. We need to get out of our heads more often..and VENTURE! Gratitude is ever so important, in all walks of life. The book shall be added to my list :-)

Hi Traceofanasazi! So good to hear from you again. I remember you speaking of being a tree, and i often use that for myself when things get to hectic..very wise. Sometimes being a tree allows for others to sit comfortably as well, bringing joy!

Well, I would have to contest listening to Mozart as looking to Nature, LOL! How about the singing of birds early in the morning, a babbling brook, snow falling on a crisp winter day (yes, you can hear snow falling! it whispers), bees humming in a flower-laden apple tree, waves lapping the shore, the breeze plaing in the trees, the evening chorus of frogs... listening with full attention to these things reveal a simple magic not found in manmade music.

Hi TOA! Being tree is one of my favourites too. I like to sit with my back against a tree, or even better get up into a tree and wrap myself around it in an arm & leg hug, so I can feel it's movement, the hum of it's life-energy, the quiet song that is more physical than audio. It slows me down and helps me remember how connected I am to everything.
