David you are defiitely onto something here..the hum.. a vibration..which causes energy and the energy can be used to bring you into the present moment and enhance power and creativity..attract others...excellent piece here..the more in control of the mind you are, the more " drawing" power you have...slowing the mind does draw out that power, the kind that cannot be tapped into when you are in a hurry and rushing through everything. I like the rewards of not rubbernecking...Opportunities abound!!! :-)

Being in the present. Great way to be. The only time is now. Meditation is good for us, as is being centered and balanced. Energy is what we are and what everything is. Tap into that and strengthen that connection with source energy and we become very high energy. Then we learn how to attract more of that energy into our lives and avoid that which is not. I have a recommendation of some Tibetan healing music for my friends here. It is bamboo flute music by Nawang Khechog. He is a former Buddhist monk who was also a hermit for a few years. Nawang intends each composition to be a living, breathing meditation. His music invokes an inner stillness that is the essence of healing and peace. The Dalai Lama himself encouraged him to share his music with the world. The gift box set has 3 CD's titled...."Quiet Mind, Rhythems of Peace, and Sounds of Peace" It is like you are sitting in the Himilayas listening to his energy flow. Hi hireland17....You got that right! "Opportunities Abound!!!!" Nice quote, I will remember that one.

My current challenge is letting go of grudges, to stay in the present. I find that NOT explaining myself, allows others to be theirself more freely. PEACE

Hi WOM & Tooch!!! Click on the blue word "Studies" in Dave's blog message. Good stuff on that link. I've seen other studies conducted on advanced meditators and it is all very interesting to me.

Excellent post... it is sometimes easy to recognize visually who has learned the art of ****"you acquire an energy the yogis call "shakti."**** Seems that it is something that some may consider "taboo" since it would not fit into their polito-religio- social dynamic that has been taught in cultural and familial meme. There is such a pleasure in just allowing oneself to recognize such people who stride to seek a walking, living, peaceful serenity or who have awoken to the liberating meditative state while functioning in society and not being a robot on auto-pilot. *** cleansing of the inner human essence to achieve such a state of awareness that provides the ability to be peaceful through cold or heat or lifes circumstances.... yeeeesh!

Oh, the yeeeesh is a version of "oh yeah" or "yes" not a negative thought...

Great post. Slow down the breathing and the mind will slow down. Slow down the mind get control of the mind. The first chapter in the magnetic diet is devoted to this same concept - pranayama.

I have been arund some people who make me feel very calm and others wind me up so I understand what you are saying. I strive to bve that kind of person, but it is not easy. Taking a deep breath now and again does help. Thanks for the good article. PS, I thought this article was supposed to be about handling anger? Why does it say that at the top of the blogs? Am I missing something.

#2, Thank you. you have given good recommendations of CDs. Someone else on here gives good information on these kinds of DVDs and books and such. I could never read or watch all of those but I found some and they are vry interesting. I keep a list from readers here of what I want to read or watch someday when I have time.

Manedfree.....your welcome. Here is another recommendation that comes in CD book form and also regular paperback. "Destructive Emotions- How can we overcome them?" by the Dalai Lama and Daniel Goleman. You understand how to feel others energy and how it affects you. This is good. We all would like to be the calm type of person who handles everything well. I also suggest you put David Hawkins books on your list of things to read when you have time. " Power vrs. Force " & " Transcending the levels of consciousness " will help you reach your goal.
