I just wanted to say that I have had bad problems with anemia all my life. I couldnt even take the medicines and iron supplements that doctors were giving me because my body wouldnt even absorb them. My hemo would get as low as 6 I finaly started to do IVs I would go sit at the hematologist office for a little over an hour everyday with an IV in me getting my iron. But then finaly at the age of 50 I found out I have something called "Celiac disease". My doctor blamed my monthly period, I was told I needed to start eating better, I was given all different kinds of iron supplements, and believe me when you body doesnt absorb those realy strong iron supplements, You become very sick to your stomach!! So if you have had a long running problem with anemia, You might want to get checked for Celiac disease. Just case you would have it, the doctors don't tell you It is hereditary.
