I love Dr. Weil but he looks heavy in any photo I've seen of him...does he practice what he preaches??

None of these schools are accredited to the standards of certified clinical nutritionists. For people that have personal interest these are very good programs. The graduates from these institutions are starting their own businesses which is okay, as long as they only stick to their very limited education...the problem that I see is that they throw all these letters behind their name that mean absolutely nothing like AADP for ex. All to often grads will say that they are accredited by The Certification and Accreditation Board of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP). Sounds Impressive, right? Well, this is a completely bogus association that would welcome your money too. Anyone on the planet can give them a couple of hundred dollars and you too can be part of this sham. 10 weekends is enough time to learn what it takes to put a clients life in your hands? Don't get me started.

What about a good old 4-5 year program to become a registered dietitian? It is a great credential to have and opens up to help people who really need it, those that are already in the hospital. A nutritionist cannot do this, they are not qualified.
