I find that cutting back on fried foods and desserts along with an exercise program 3 times a week goes a long way in keeping my weight down;but after age 60,the weight is harder to lose.I try to do cardio 3 times a week and using my Bowflex 1-2 times a week, helps to keep me going.I just can't lose the fat around my waist.

Cutting out most of the meat in your diet will help your weight and health.

MSG has always put me into a coma. All foods that have MSG in them should post a warning.

I would like to hear how the euorpeans think about this. My husband went to France for a week and half on business and is a diabetic and swore he felt better and had more red wine and ate more and still lost weight. He said he felt it was because of the lack of additives to the food there. This will make me do more investigating. I have a food and nutrition background do am very interested and curious about this.

Hi Margaret, I couldnt find any contact channel for you, so I will just add my comment here and you can respond back to me if you are interested. We have launced a website, www.rateadrug.com to compare user experiences with different health treatements. We are interested in including diet to see if the effects are significant when compared with prescription drugs or supplements. Would love your input. I am a meat lover but I have cut back on my consumption. Recently I was told by the butcher that I buy steaks from that meat processors have begun injecting saline solution into steaks. This action causes a twenty five per cent increase in the normal weight of the meat. If this is true, this is truly an action to cheat the consumer. I wonder if it is true.

Have an 11 y/o that will only eat a small amount of uncooked vegetable and only certain ones, broccoli, carrots, peppers, onions only. will not eat cooked vegetables and will not eat fruits other than sliced skin free apples at a minute amount. Only eats chicken, hamburg and steak and that is if he can sauce them big time with BBQ or Ranch Dressings. Loves junk foods and fried food chicken or fries. Only eats Baked potato once in a while. Will eat Haddock but with sauces. He is over weight by 20 lbs and cholestrol high on the bad one and low on the good. What long term effects will this have if unchanged.
