ok article. Only complaint is that I thought it was going to list more actual food items and not the various chains attempts to make their menus healthier through policy.

How about Wendy's small chili and side salad with fat-free french dressing? It's 290 calories, 7 grams of fat, and 8 grams of fiber. Does have a lot of sodium, though...1030 mgs.

I've been a health advocate for years... what is it with the sodium content of anything that is not directly picked off the vine and immediately eaten? Even in sodas! Great idea on the Wendy's small chili and side salad. I wouldn't have thought of putting those two things together myself.

I was suprised Wendy's was not commented on because as far back as I can remember Wendys has aways had healthy items like salads and chicken. Even before McDonalds or Burger King. Also I agree with Mikeyboy411 that I was expecting to actual menu items that are healthy being mentioned versus attempts to make a healthier menu. Some of the items mentioned are still high in sodium and fat.

Does the author of this article really think because these fast food chains have items under 9 grams of fat that it can still be considered "healthy"? Nevermind that none of the other ingredients are good for you or have any nutrional value whatsoever.

There is no such thing as healthy fast food. It is full of artificial flavorings, artificial colors, and wonderful little additives like sodium lauryl sulfate. What do we need foaming agents in our food for? That's exactly what I asked the store manager. She said "Well, if the FHA says it's allowed, then its ok". Yeah, the "FHA". Well that may be part of Obama's new health plan, to have the Federal Housing Administration overlook food and supplements; and Lord knows the FDA can't do it.

what about burgerville? if my family is ever in a rush we always choose to eat there. Their food contains much less fat, sodium, and overall i believe their fruit in their smoothies is resh and organic.

America is fast food crazy, including myself. I eat to much Chipolte. Then I have to take a break or die.
