I'm just trying not to lose any more weight. It's hard when I need to have food as calorie laden as I can and am having relatives who are obese and diabetic come to visit.

Anorexia is a terrible thing. I wouldn't like to be overweight, but, please whoever reads this, DON'T BECOME ANOREXIC if you already are, please go somewhere to get help. I think people should try to be happy with whatever weight they are. I'm not saying you shouldn't try to be healthy, I'm just saying shrug insults off. My point is that its a hard world and lots of people try to put you down. DON'T LET THEM!

It's a terrible situation.Models are to be thin!Who could agree with that. Are teens, women now a days are either to big or to thin.First need to have a healthy mind to have a healthy body.but it is a very sad thing.I either eat too much one day and not enough the next day.Ill lose and gain. But I've decided to love myself and have my head straight. Now to a healthier begining!!!!!!!

its hard to be confident as a woman with the way television and people idolize models and the super thin in hollywood. I know ive struggled with an eating disorder and its something you fight day after day, its not something that anyone can cure you of, its a up hill battle and you read about stuff and it hits home like wow that could be me. You have to find your will to live and for me its my family

Eating disorders don't just hit the "young". At the age of 41 after losing a lot of weight which I needed to do, I just couldn't seem to stop dieting and became obsessed with the numbers on the scale. I became anorexic and became very ill. It took quite a while and lot of therapy before I was able to get the eating disorder under control. Looking back, I realized that I have had disordered eating most of my life, eating a lot one day and not eating much the next out of fear of gaining. I can't say that I love the weight I am at now, but I am at peace with my body. Exercise is for my health, not to consume calories. Food is to be enjoyed, not feared. If you suspect someone you know, no matter what the age of the person is, has an eating disorder, support them in getting help and learn about EDs yourself, and how you can support the person in recovery. Thanks for bringing this subject up this time of year.

I have experienced something that will absolutely help. I tried excercise, Atkins, and just trying to stay away from sugar, but nothing really worked for me. Last October I tried cleansing. I lost 21 pounds in just 4 weeks. I kept it all of during the holidays. My best friend lost 30 pounds in 5 weeks as well - and has kept it all off also. Even ABC news was surprised by the results. a site on the web with the news clip is: www.cleansingmentors.com. Best of luck in the battle of the bulge..
