pcos can lead to diabetes, I caught it on time visiting an endocrynologist and being tested for insuline, glucose, male hormone levels. I started being suspicious since I couldn´t lose my post pregnancy weight even though I ate healthy and watched my calories, besides I was losing hair in my head and getting some on my legs and face. Get tested.
It´s frustrating to diet and not lose weight, the abnormal hormone levels can make you feel depressed, or angry and it could look as normal if you are frustrated, but it may not be. Pcos can be triggered by hormonal changes, mine was because of the pregnancies. I´m medicated by my doctor and my insuline levels are slowly going back to normal, the weight is coming off just by my regular healthy eating habits: fish, chicken breast, oatmeal, low fat milk, veggies, fruits, yoghurt and whole grain rice and pasta.
