I found that since I changed my eating habits which meant not eating at fast food places, when I eat there with a friend ,( and I watch what I eat) I get sick with in an hour or so. Is that my body's way of saying that I don't need that kind of food?

When I have to have fast food, I dont drink anything but water, and I never get fries. We don't always have to drink something with flavor with our fast food. Drink water and wait until you get home to have something else

Why go to a fast food joint and pass up on a juicy burger topped with melted cheese, special sauce, oversized fries and a large coke. That's what fast food is about. If you're looking out for the calories, cholesteral and fat then visit your local farmer's market. MMMMMmmmmmm... i want me a half pounder - medium rare, pease.

Good luck if you're gluten intolerant! I have had to reassess my ALL of my eating-out habits throughly. Even salads pose a problem because of the dressing ingredients. (malt vinegars) I applaud restaurants that post informative listings of ingredients and nutritional values.

He winnr, I just ordered one of those plans. I notice that LoneStart has a message board. i'm hoping that I can loose 20 pounds before summer is over. It would be nice if I didn't have to wear those baggy shorts over my bathing suit.

I noticed the other day that our local Wal-Mart was replacing the "Old MacDonalds" restaurant with a Subway. There are some choices to be made when eating on the run. Subway has some good, healthier choices, and those wraps are pretty good too.

lil99, I started a wellness program about two weeks ago, and I found that as I cut out all of those "bad for you" foods, I did feel like toxins were being released from my body. I felt like a new person! This is something I can live with. I'm never hungry either. According to the plan, if you starve yourself, your body goes into a kind of alert mode and thinks it needs to store more fat! I don't think so!!!

I still don't think they have it. Burger King does offer a vegi burger but it's nasty. McDonalds came out with this fruit and nut salad, great concept but the low fat yogart they serve with it has so much sugar in it that it tases like frosting. And the walnuts are candied walnuts, meaning rolled in sugar. They are trying but they are still way off. Trying to find fast vegitarian food is impossible. One day we'll be there!

This does help to limit fats and calories, but all in all, you still get more than you should even by following these ideas. Your best best is to buy fresh vegies etc. and keep them at home for eating, make a low fat or no fat dip if needed, grill your chicken and put fresh spices and healthy bread. Cook more than needed and you can heat up the rest on a busy day so you don't have cook a full meal. I tried to change my foods and still found too many fats and calories in them at fast food restaurants, this is a great idea for those who don't have to watch too much of what they eat.
