After years of using artificial sweeteners,
I realized that any sweet beverages stimulate my appetite and I eat more when drinking sweet beverages.
I suggest that we move towards health as we
lose weight.
Once a person loses about ten pounds, detoxification becomes useful. Lots of toxins are stored in fat cells and people get sick, have gallbladder attacks, or just feel yuck and lose their motivation and regain the weight. Water, lemon water, herbal teas for detox, support the bodies effort to clean up
the toxins set loose from burning fat . Water
is needed for the kidneys to funtion properly.
Sweetners add work for the kidneys and liver.
However, some people will abandon all efforts at weight loss without them.
If you are an all or nothing person and can handle becoming a water only person, go for it.
Whatever you do, get up to speed on your water drinking and never substitute any other beverage for water. You can add other non-caloric beverages as a treat, just be sure that you fulfill your water requirments.
