I kind of agree with you but I still think that organic product are better for you then others that are filled with toxic stuff. I like this article so much I'm going to do a summary and presentation on it. But I see what your saying. I think that scientist should look deeper into the study of organic products and pesticides.

I'm reading a lot of concerns from the commentors about the price of buying organic. If you don't switch to organic now, you'll pay for it treble later. Try this logic if you're hestitant or think you can't... 1. No doctor bills, which start benignly enough, but by the time you're 40 are astronomical. 2. No cold or flu medicine costs, including tissues, chicken soup, and missed work. 3. When you get the correct nutrition, you eat less, therefore you buy less food. 4. No pharmasuedical bills of anykind. This alone should be enough impetus. It feels good to stick to them for a change. Now, if we could only figure out a way to get at the oil companies... 5. Take a look around at the older people in the U.S. and try to remember what older people were like in the 50's & 60's - spry, agile, and fiesty. If that doesn't scare you into rethinking your diet, you'll end up going the same route our current older generation did and pay for it w/ all the pain and suffering they are living w/ now. imaniburrell@yahoo.com

I disagree. I don't eat any organic foods. I eat red meat, poultry, and other processed foods. I will be 31 in 2 months and I never get sick, not the flu or anything. I do maintain a fairly healthy diet with fruits and vegetables, but not any organic stuff, just regular stuff. Actually, I eat fruit every day, but I don't eat vegetables every day. I am perfectly healthy, I only go to the doctor for yearly check ups. I don't think organic foods are the cure all. They won't keep you from getting sick. If you can afford them then great. But the real solution is that people need to eat more fruits and vegetables (regardless if they're organic) and exercise more. Stay away from fast food, that stuff will kill you. But, I don't think organic foods are going to keep you from ever getting sick.

Does organic food still have the same nutritional value as naturally grown food? Yes organic is very expensive, but for some reason you can taste the difference and it is good. Why chose organic over naturally grown which we have been exposed to the natural thing for years.

I think everybody needs to go organic. Eating organic foods prevents illness and disease because they are grown without the use of pesticides, chemicals, growth hormones, and antibiotics. These chemicals that are purposely put in food causes causes illness and disease at the expense of our health and for the sake of profits. We need to live a 100% organic lifestyle; from the food we eat to the poducts we use everyday. Everything that goes into our body needs to be all - natural/organic. Living an organic lifestyle will cure sickness and disease and will enable us to live healthier lives. We need to also detox and take all - natural vitamins on a everyday basis. Health is the #1 concern for people everywhere.
