Peanuts also are great mixed with raisins and m&ms for an on-the-go snack. Great for hiking!

I love nuts but they do cause migraines or headaches to people that are prone to them. So go easy on the nuts. Great article. Phyllis :)

Make sure that your peanut butter is organic and natural. The only ingredients should be peanuts and salt. Most supermarket peanut butters also include sugar and one of the worst things you can put inside your body: hydrogenated and/or partially hydrogenated oils. Health food stores have many good natural, organic peanut butter brands to choose from. If you buy your groceries from Walmart, I believe they carry Adams Natural Organic Peanut Butter. Just remember to read the ingredients and labels. Also, after you mix natural peanut butter (most come with the oil sitting on top), store it in the refrigerator and you won't have to restir it each time. There are also some low-salt varieties of natural, organic peanut butter available.

Is it any type of nut? I'm assuming it's definitely got to be unsalted. But which nut is best? cashews? peanuts? walnuts?

Sounds good if you know for sure that you are not allergic to peanuts and peanut butter.

If you love PB try Naturally More. It is a peanut mixture of peanuts, flaxseeds, wheat germ, honey, egg whites. It is awesome. It is AKA Power butter. Once you eat this, you'll never want just plain PB again.
