Thank you for this information, like you i have never been a fan of soy. Just last weekend a friend offered me soy milk when i visited her but after 2 sips i just could not take anymore. I will have to check out some of these products and i hope i will like them.

I try to get information on alternative foods such as soy before jumping into adding them to a "healthy" diet. All the research I've seen, other than from the soy companies, seems to indicate that large amounts of soy are harmful to humans. Just do your research before having faith in a posting such as this. The studies show a lot of harm has been done by soy, especially in infants.

I have learned, just like any food you try for the first time it might not become your favorite, but try it again and it may become something you do enjoy.

If you are a chip snacker, there are several brands of soy crisps. They come in all kinds of flavors and have 7 grams of protein for each serving.

I am a nutritionally based physician and SOY is a very REAL problem...I do all sorts of non-conventional allergy testing and it shows up plenty. I have no doubt that soy based infant formula is destroying our youth. Everyone needs to read the book "THE WHOLE SOY STORY" to learn the facts concerning the real dangers of soy. When my patients get off this poison among other things, their health returns. Everyone really needs to be concerned about the Soy-Cancer link. Dr. John

yeah i am a vegetarian and i eat a lot of soy. well turns out that was bad for me beacuse that was all i was eating and it threw my metabolism and thyroid way off track. be careful with the amounts of soy you put in your diet. it is just as harmful as it is helpful.

I just know that I have a 6 yr old with milk and egg white allergies. Soy has been a lifesaver. She does not miss eggs and if she wants I give her my yolk. but silk vanilla and rice milk chocolate have pulled it out. I also like edamane. kate

I have been eating a lot of soy, especially tofu! The silken tofu is a wonderful base for smoothies, and because tofu picks up the flavors of marinades, spices, etc. it makes wonderful high-protein, low fat main dishes and snacks. There are lots of recipes online and I consider the day I discovered how delicious soy can be one of the luckiest days of my life. By the way, I've lost 12 pounds so far, between substituting tofu for meat and eliminating as much sodium as possible from my diet. Blood pressure is back to normal and cholesterol, too! Tofu has made me a happy camper!

People can be allergic to all kinds of foodstuffs, there is no need to single out soy as a culprit. All this cancer-related scaremongering just creates a lot of stress, and this may also lead to all kinds of health problems! People in South East Asia have been eating soy products for millennia and they seem to thrive on it. Tofu is a great substitute for meat! I'm not a particular fan of soy milk but it's true that the quality and taste of modern soy products has improved a lot over the past few years.

Why is it that no one cares about safe weight gain and maintenance practices. There are so many people especially in caribbean countries who would love to have a proper weight gain plan.

After Breast Cancer Surgery, and being placed on an Estrogen Blocker, Arimidex, my Doctor, at MD Anderson's Clinic, said for me to limit my Soy protects. What do you think? I really miss the Soy Milk on my morning Oatmeal. I now use Plain Yogurt with my skimmed milk for a little creamy effect. Thanks, Sue
