An occasional fast food meal does no harm. Save it for a treat once or twice a month. Otherwise stick to fresh whole foods.

Mexican without sour cream, cheese, or guacamole is simply not Mexican. Posted by readhead7982 on Thu, Apr 26, 2007, 7:37 am PDT Above is an idiotic comment . . . without the sour cream/cheese/guac it IS MEXICAN! Not that I hate those things but you'd never find them in Mexico

Does your mall have a paradise bakery? You still have to be careful of hidden calories, but you can definitely get some healthier (and very tasty)choices. You can always pack a power bar as well, and make sure you drink plenty of water.

I think that its okay to eat at the mall it just depends on how much you and then after wards you can just walk it off. Its really a lot better to drink a lot of water while walking in the mall it stops you from buying soda which also is not good for you. Over all if your going to the mall and are on a diet always try to stick to what your used to eating and dont let the best of you get to you.

it is frustrating when you are starving at the mall and TRYING to eat healthy and there is simply nothing there (or you can pay $7.50 for a bowl of lettuce). I know a lot of folks do have trouble resisting and what are you gonna do when there is simply nothign even moderately healthy to eat? But that sort of food is not appetizing to me (after you've been a health nut for years you lose your taste for it, no, really!), so it's just frustrating for me (I usualy keep a box of kashi or Clif bars in my car).

Let's just take all the fun out of eating. Good suggestions, but I always found that if you eat your fave's in moderation than you are better off than trying to avoid them all together. Getting bored woth food choices is the main reason people don't stick to their diets.
