I so agree with fantasy thing. I am recently divorced after 14 years. I have realized that I primarily got married because I thought it was time to get married and start a family-not really because I wanted to grow old with my ex. I think most women are caught up in planning the wedding and aren't even thinking about what marriage means.

I've been a divorced Mom of 2 for 5 yrs. now. I agree so much with everything that you've said, especially the part about not staying in a miserable marriage. My oldest daughter, who remembers the abuse that I went through, tells me often that she is glad that I divorced her Dad.....I also believe that I've been an inspiration to my kids, I've proved that Women can be strong, depend on themselves and be happy!!!
