Dr. DiNubile, I hope you are not discouraged by some of the posts here. You are doing a great informative service to us. I am positive there is a huge number of us that read your blog with enthusiasm regularly but may not post. Thank you so much for being here. Your blog is the first thing I look at when I go online. I have osteoporosis from long term renal failure but am enjoying a new life with a successful transplanted kidney. I hit the weights 3 times a week and swim about 1100 meters the off days. A 64 year old male enjoying life and fitness. Beau

Thank you for the useful information. I'm a 51 year old woman with osteopenia and have started taking classes in Gyrotonics and Gyrokinesis. I enjoy it very much and I'm hopeful that it will help me to stave off the inevitable. I know I should have asked my doctor first, but all of that stretching feels great and with Gyrotonics, weights are also involved. I also take Actonel once a week. The goal is to build stronger bones.

If we pay attention here we may turn into centenarians. Thank you. I've added kale (per your list) to build up that calcium. With some fixing up, it can be quite good. I go to a weights class and use a variety of equipment. What do you think are the best exercise machines? Bench Press is a favorite, but that works only arms and shoulders.
