Dancing games defintiely work. With doing DDR about an hour a day (sometimes more) every day of the week and watching my diet (making sure I am at consuming at least 500 calories less than my RMR), I have lost 15 pounds in a little over a month. I eat 3 meals a day and snacks and have more energy. I've made DDR into a fitness routine for me and I am hoping to lose 100 pounds with increased exercise and fine-tuning my diet.

I've seen the effects of using DDR as an exersice routine first handedly. A co-worker of mines lost 100 pounds in 6 months because he cut out all the junk--foods he knew for a fact werent good for him--and played DDR for an hour a day. He says he never did any other form of exercise b/c he didn't feel that he needed to. Now if it can work for a guy in his thirties, i have faith that it can work on anyone.

I loooove DDR. Some songs on the right setting make me tired! It is a good workout if you do it long enough.

Actually, this information was not that helpful because it didn't give the average weight of the children who participated in the study. Without that, it's hard to translate the calories burned per minute to what an adult would burn doing the same activities.

Well, from experience, I know that DDR works as a great weight loss method. In 2 months so far, I've lost 20 pounds. I just bought a Wii with the sports games. I haven't seen any results just yet, but my arms sure do get a good workout. I am not saying it's the only form of exercise, but it gets you moving when otherwise you could be sitting on your butt playing a game or watching T.V. I think the Wii is or has something coming out that gets your arms and legs moving... the "fit" I think. I can't wait for something like that... for a whole body work out. DDR works mostly on legs and the Wii is mostly arms. Let's put them together.

This is great if all you do is DDR...but what about regular dancing at the clubs? That's what I was lead to believe this was going to be about..

DDR is always awesome. This just proves that it's more awesome than it already is.

I'm a break Dancer and play DDR, but somehow I still weigh around 200lbs. I guess my body has burned off as much as it can.

I have personally experenced the wonders of DDR! At first I thought it was a worthless game, but then I saw a couple of pros on it, and my first thought was "wow, they're moving" so then I tried... the results a 20 pound weight loss, and a great way to impress your friends! I recommend DDR for everyone!!!
