Dr. Baumann, as a licenced medical esthetician I am surprised and diapointed the you are recommending department store skin care for acne skin care, spot treatment or not. When are so many wounder pharmacuitical grade skin care lines available.

This was a great article. It would be helpful if more effective products are named.

As a former skin cancer patient I AGREE make-up alone is not enough for skin protection. If you have to be out for long periods wear the highest # possible.

Best thing for healthy looking skin is wash your face twice a day morining and night and moisturize lots. Always wear sunscreen and get a facial at least once a month, once you turn 30. Blochy or hairy skin can also make us look older then we are. If you have fair skin that seems thin, micro peels work really well for that and if your darker toned then try mircodremabrasion for thicker skin types. These help with getting rid of old skin that can make our skin look dull. Hair salons rarely have the best facialist try a derma-spa. The best products are the ones that work best for you and your skin ask a professional. Spend a little time and money and you will find a good combination for your personal skin care. After that makeup is just a matter of taste, a little goes a long way.
