I'm glad you're addressing this. I am a 53 year old woman, who just got Melasma! It looks horrible. I am being treated with a cream called "tri-Luma". I think it's getting worse. Will try that Derma Blen to hid the patches on my cheeks, upper lip, nose, forhead and chin! It's all over! UGH!!!

I have "mask of Pregnancy" and my youngest is 25. When should it go away or will it ever lighten? I've just come to deal with it. I was told it was caused by birth control pills and I haven't taken them in over 23 years. I was told the spots would lighten after awhile. It's been awhile and there is no ligntening.

I am in my 70's and have had 2 patches of the darker spots for about 10 years. I am now getting some more small spots. I have used several kinds of creams that you have recommended. My question is: Is this a shortage of or extra estrogen the cause? hmcbcr@yahoo.com
