This information wasn't helpful at all. Over time I have used various products none of which have provided any relief. I have settled on concealer; since I normally don't wear make up this is quite bothersome. I am not sure of the cause of my problem but if anyone has any ideas please drop me a line @ http://audraradcliffespeaks.blogspot.com/

I doubt I'll be read, but what about 1) increasing blood flow to eyelids, somehow? 2) Skin bleaching + sunscreen, maybe? or targeted darkening of the rest of the face?

I can confirm the Sleep Factor thats because I too have these dark under eyes. and have made lots of work over it and the best solution I came up by taking at least 10hrs sleep and if you want to get rid of these I would recommend 10-12hrs sleep for at least 1 month and it also sure will brighten your skin up. and keep in mind the results will show up after continuous 2weeks of such regular sleep a short sleep of one day makes 3days extra for result to show up

Well I have trouble sleeping a lot of nights,so now I realize this could be my problem..not going to waste $$$$ on under-eye creams ,that probably won't work anyway.

you have given explanation for why it happens (in a certain case, slow blood flow). The obvious question would be, what can we do to increase blood flow in this area? you only mentioned Vitamin K (and you also mentioned it does not work, thanks for the alert). so what simply should be done? does alcohol has an effect? sleeping pattern (and not short sleep)? certain food?

I'm 44 and have had dark circles all my life. I've been using Roc (I got it at CVS - not a plug, just a tip) for a few weeks and have noticed some improvement. They're not gone but they are a little lighter. It has retinol but not Vitamin K. I also started taking multivitamins so that may be contributing. One thing I did notice though: consider your bathroom lighting. My dark circles look much worse in the bathroom mirror at home, where I see them the most, than in other better lit bathrooms, like at work. The problem may not be as bad as you think, just because of the lighting.

I have been using three skin care treatments for my eyes for the past couple of years. One took care of the puffiness; one took care of the dark circles; and one took care of the fine lines. This past Friday, I started using a new skin care product that addresses all three problems, and I noticed a HUGE difference after just one use! I was so impressed that I had my Mom try it to see if it worked as well for her, since she has a few years on me:) She noticed a significant difference as well. I am telling everyone I know because I am so happy with the benefits I have seen from using it for less than one week! I order it online from this website: http://jwinter.qhealthbeauty.com/products/product.aspx?itemno=105532
