Does anyone know what the darkness actually is under the eye? Is it blood?

I agree with a few of the other posts. I was expecting an answer for dark circles not an invite to suggest ideas. I want to know a specific thing to try.

I agree with cosette. I am disappointed and left with more questions than answers. I don't really believe there IS a way to get rid of dark circles. I think the only thing to do is find an awesome concealer, one which not only conceals but brightens the undereye area, and try to shift the focus of your face to another area! Personally I use Loreal Quick stick foundation under my eyes topped with a little of Benefit's Eye Bright stick. I also use Benefit's High Brow under my brows to visually lift the whole eye area.

Preparation H is supposed to help with puffiness under the eyes, not dark circles, although I have not personally tried it.

I agree with cosette_2003 in that the article didn't provide what the title said it would. I see this happen frequently with similar type articles on Yahoo. Please make the title more accurate in the future, instead of just an "attention-grabber" that doesn't end up delivering.

Pretty much a useless article - the title indicates that there are solutions in the article...very disappointing.

Great solution. I thought you were the doctor that was supposed to let me know.....? ;- ) Cucumber slices have a natural (bleach)extract that can bleach those areas under the eyes but will take a number of applications a week for full results. & than applying on a consistent basis for consistent results.

Goodlord, don't use preparation H on your eyes! Make sure you drink plenty of water and your eating good foods. Dark circles are a sign that your kidneys may need some help.

This was a waste of time! There was nothing in there that said how to get rid of dark circles.

Place cucumber on the eyes and relax atleast half an hour everday.

My wife thinks that it has a lot to do with diet. When the circles appear for her, she stops all red meat intake, and they do lighten/go away.

food allergies also cause dark circles and no amount of any makeup will correct it, test for allergies and remove the food source. This will help.
