Who is paying for this? It sounds like the companies that make the sunscreen lotion. You want us to put on more lotion and to throw away older lotion. Sounds like this is to get us to buy more lotion to me.

I have heard SPF = sun protection for .... the number of the lotion equals the number of minutes the lotion protects you in the sun; therefore to truly protect yourself you would need to apply a SPF 15 product every 15 minutes of sun exposure. This to me, sounds like the truth & has also felt like the truth in personal trials.

This is good to know. I have some sunscreen that is probably 8-10 years old. I'll be cleaning out all I find---all of it is more than 6 months old. In the 70's I was diagnosed with lupus erythematosus and all that was available was so thick and stinky---we've come a long way. (the lupus has been in remission for over 20 years, praise God) Sun worshippers, please take care of your bodies.

I only wish we would see more real tests or studies on the possible links between skin cancer and sunscreen. I seriously wonder how harmless these chemicals really are. Common sense is still the best weapon against to much exposure to the sun.

Putting chemicals on your body to absord into you skin is a lot more harmful then sun exposure.
