Yeah! I have found that the Jergen's lotion works really well with my skin tone, but I would like to know what to do about the smell... it's nauseating!

I know what you mean about the smell. My family can't stand it when I put it on! What are some recommendations for sunless tanners that don't stink???

I have used the Jergens natural glow and I agree about the not so pleasant smell. Also, after I applied it a couple of times my skin turned that awful fake tan orange color. :(

When I tan naturally, I have more of an olive complection. Are there any sunless tanners that have a tone more suitable for olive colored tans versus orange?

I use Dove Energy Glow. Available in fair to medium and medium to dark. No orange,no nasty smell, doesn't rub off on towels and sheets. Dove can be applied every day, because it is also a moisturizer. A friend tried L'Oreal and turned orange.

I have used Estee Lauder's "Go Bronze" for years. It" tinted, so it's very easy to put on evenly. Looks great--never streaky. I buy it on esteelauder.com.

Hey sandy, I agree about the awful smell. Jergens and Avon's SOS has been decent in smell. Also I do not recommend Vaseline's brand, it's the cheapest for a reason!

I've tried a few sunless tanners as I have difficulty getting a nice tan in some spots on my body. My current favorite is Coppertone Oil Free. It is dark brown in your hand, but as you rub it in it fades and goes on really even. . . I love it and so does my hubby!

I used Jergens for about a year and HATED the smell, but dealt with it because I liked the tan. I recently tried Banana Boat's self tanner. It's amazing! No bad smell (it smells like any other moisturizing lotion) and you can control the desired darkness. The darker you set the dial on the bottle, the more self tanner you use. With Jergens I felt like I could not touch anything for about 20 minutes while it dried, but not with Banana Boat. I apply it in the morning, wait 2 minutes, then put my clothes on and I'm good to go! I'll say one last thing about it... it comes in Light skin tone or Medium and I did not read the bottle clearly when I bought mine. I have pale skin and should be using Light, but instead I use Medium. I still love it, but around my ankles the tanner is too dark and streaky. I think this will be remedied by the Light bottle. Get Banana Boat! I found it at CVS in the suntan lotion aisle.

I just cannot EVER get an even tan that doesn't rub off or streak... or fade unevenly.

I use L'Oreal Sublime Glow Lotion daily - it smells great - no funky "aftersmell" - and has NEVER made me orange as pp mentioned. In fact, I'm always getting compliments on my "great tan!" If I want to go darker, I use the tinted L'Oreal Sublime Bronze. I've been using it for the last three years and I love it - it's the most even and natural looking fake tan I've ever had. I've had a spray Mystic Tan before also, and couldn't get the smell out of my nose for the rest of the day - I held my breath, but I still felt like I was suffocating in that booth! And then the tan faded REALLY unevenly and looked awful - I don't plan on getting a Mystic Tan again anytime soon!

A friend of mine let me in on a secret she uses to get a sunless tan. I have tried it and it works great! In an empty lotion bottle pour 1/3 sunless tanner, 1/3 gradual tan lotion and 1/3 moisturizer/regular lotion. Shake until well blended. Apply daily or every other day.... It works great and the tan looks natural! (works best if you use a lotion bottle with a pump) I have found that "fake bake" lotion, jergens gradual tan, and the lotion of your choice work best! Good Luck and Enjoy your new sunless - not orange- tan!

I love sunless tanning lotions but my only problem is I work out often and they tend to sweat off!!
