Since when has the sun become the enemy, why don't we actually focus on what actually causes cancers, instead of just taking the simple way out and saying its the sun. Why is it that just in the last 50 or so years, skin cancer has increased at an extremely high rate. Maybe it's best to look back and notice the excessive amount of preservaties and chemcials that we have began to use in foods. The correlation between cancers and chemicals/preservatives in foods is there. But everyone just wants to blame the sun as problem, when it has been vital to mankind and life since the beginning of time.

There are SPF's of 40, 45 and 50 that are more affective than SPF 30, they just aren't all THAT much more affective. I have SUPER DUPER Sensative Skin and wear SPF 50 with an special compound 'spectra' in it which makes it much much more affective for me than regular SPF 30. I am very pale, but atleast I wont look 70 when I'm 30 like my sun-dried friends.

Here is a comment on Myth 4. I'm sorry but I swam with a cotton t-shirt on and I never got burnt. I was in the pool for the whole day. The only places were my face and lower part of my arms. So, it is true you will NOT get a sunburn on your shoulders or back unless you take it off. So it isn't a myth, it's true.

I think that people who wear sunscreen before starting their day have a problem/phobia. It's the sun, as in, the thing that has ALWAYS been there.

I believe that sun exposure is NOT damaging, but sun burns are. Sun exposure gives us Vitamin D. Sunscreens are a waste of money. http://www.mercola.com/

My gf has a major problem with the UV rays, even in a tanning bed. The time it takes everyone else to get red, she's breaking out and close to 3rd degree burns. Can you say vampire? LOL. Now if someone has a solution for that, fill us in...
