I sure I wish I had known that! I only have 2-3 cups of coffee every morning and ended up with a Stage 4 Melanoma on my leg. They removed a large chunk and I have disfiguring hole, (cavern) in my leg. I love my coffee, and will continue to enjoy it, but I question it's medical benefits!

My mother in law has had multiple cases of skin cancer on her face and drinks at least a six pack of Mt. Dew a day. So....not sure how much of a help caffeine is there, unless it would be worse if she didn't drink it?

I drink 3 energy drinks a day. I'll be the judge of this.

I LOVE how for once in a long time, caffeine is noted as GOOD for me. Whew! My once-a-day Peet's Coffee is now justified!

I DISGREE!!! I HAVE AT LEAST ONE CUP OF COFFEE A DAY, SOMETIMES TWO AND I DEVELOPED SKIN CANCER ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO. I HAD IT REMOVED BUT NOW IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS COMING BACK. WHOEVER THE QUACK IS WHO SAYS CAFFEINE STOPS SKIN CANCER IS NUTS.

This study is foolish and should not be published. I have drank caffine for over 40 years and developed skin cancer requiring surgery. The topical ointment may work as a sunblock but caffine won't prevent skin cnacer.

Hmm. Could it be simply that those who drink more coffee work in offices and spend less time in the sun???

there are other things that r far more powerful at preventing skin cancer ... but since the companies who sell them don't make as much money ... they don't get an add on yahoo.
