For years now all I use on my face in the morning is warm water and pat dry. Shampoo must wash my face in the shower, but that is it. I'm always complemented on my beautiful complexion, and I'm 66 years old. Outside of that, I guess it's just good genes.

Thank you, very informative, I had no idea that you were supposed to wash your hair and THEN your face...I need to try that...

Excellent advice. I totally agree with everything. I'm in my late 30's and many people ask me how my skin stays so glowing? Basic cleaning and affordable but not cheap skin care. Cleanse every night and every morning! Never forget the SPF 15!

This advice is so wrong on the facials, the retinoid, and the products. If you go to a trained esthetician you will not break out from incorrect products. The massage done during a facial is extremely beneficial to the muscles and nerves of the face. Dove's proage? They must be paying her to promote these products. Please let us get good advice from people who really know what they are talking about!

Reiterating what was said, for all you sun worshipers, stay the heck out of the sun. You are drying your skin out and looking old before your time! I have a niece who is in her 40's that is addicted to the sun, and she looks like a 100-year-old woman! And, for heavens sake, cut out the cigarettes as well! Both age women more than anything else!

Don't get facials? That is so wrong. Like the previous poster said it does wonders for the facial muscles. Good Estheticians are not stupid they can look at the skin and tell what products the guest needs so the don't break out. Retin-A?? Are you kidding!!

what are your feelings on the popular acne product proactiv? i have been using it for a few years now and although it works 90% of the time, if i happen to be busy and don't use it one morning, i will break out again. what's up? thank you for all the other advice.
