Yes I felt this was helpful I think most of us want to take care of our skin unfortuntley some of us should have started alot sooner and with the economy the way it is and all the products there are to choose from makes it very difficult to make the right decesion.

I beg to differ with you..... you need to use something around the eyes that is designed for the eye area, due to the fact that most products "travel" and end up IN the eye, causing irritation, puffiness, and eye makeup to smear. You need to use a gel based eye cream, one without any heavy oils or petroleum. This will moisturize and STAY PUT

I agree with c.louise. The skin around your eyes is sensitive and regular products are way too harsh. Having said that, Dr. Baumann is right. There are a lot of drug store products that work as well or better than expensive department store brands.

I think its an excellent thing that you bring up this subject because skin care is a big issue today and most people tend to ignore this issue , and leave it a side and they actually suffer from it. So iam encouragng you guys to become more active with this issue.

usually someone who has excessively oily skin does not get wrinkles that are deep. They may have fine lines and there is a difference. oil rich skins do not generally wrinkle that deep because of all that oil. Clinigues clarifying lotion sweeps away dull dead skin cells that can clog pores and lead to break out and they have one for every skin type even sensitive skin for only 11.00 dollars it is worth every penny, makes your moisturizer perform better too because it gets useless dead skin out of there first . it is the only"toner" that does this therefore it is vital to use for every skin type

also the eye cream needs to be a specific product made for the eyes because those are tested by opthamologist to be safe for the eyes and regular moisturizers are not tested by opthamologists so use an eye treatment product made for the eye area

I'm with everybody who posted regarding using an eye cream. I used to sell cosmetics. Moisturizer around the eyes is a bad idea, for reasons mentioned in other people's posts. Also, Dr. Leslie needs to do some reporting about harmful petrochemicals that are the basis for many fragrances and other ingredients that are in many cosmetics, including maybe her recommended products. The FDA allows cosmetics companies to get away with using hazardous chemicals that they don't have to disclose under protection of patent laws. I advise looking at products found in wholefoods stores, such as Alba or Avalon Organics, which may utilize organic essential oils and a minimum of harmful ingredients. Be well.

Yeah the eye cream thing is a must. I work w/ skin and i see so many peple comin gin wit eye issues b/c theyare used other products on the eye. Most eye creams do gererally the same thing..... have heavier hydrating lipids to keep the area smooth and in a more gentle way than facial moisturizer. I tell women as youing as 18 to use it. The eyes are the first thing ppl notice aging in. Also, toners are not always harsh...... actaully most arent. Astringent which can be called a toner is harsh. Maybe thats the confusion. I use dermalogica multi toner but they also have a soothing toner for sensitive skin (its also a little more hydrating) in spray form. Just my opinion on this. Cheap is the way to go with some things.... but getting your moneys worth is pretty good too. Ebay people ebay! lol

I do invest in products for my face and am always looking for a line that is not as expensive as the one I use. I agree, using a specific eye treatment instead of just your moisturizer is needed. I have very easily irritable skin. I also read don't pack on too much either. Just use what you need and definitely wash your face at night and use night creams before bed. You'll see a difference in your skin in the morning. I may have to try Clinique's products from reading these comments. I'm using Arbonne products now and really have no complaints. I do need to find an acne killing product and may go back to ProActive because I remember it working well. It's been a few years since I've used it. If you've used ProActive, I'd love to hear if you think it works.

Your recommendations are not organic or animal testing free. Some US animal testing requirements go back 80 years that have been ban in Europe for decades. In fact, some countries have ban animal testing period. I suggest you get with the program and educate yourself for the animals, the environment and the public.
