This does not cover hair loss in women ocurring from their youth to old age. My friend Esther has very little hair since she was young and now, at age 58, has much less. Her mother was the same. How is baldness in women treated ? is there such a genetic pattern in women as well? Thanks, Diana

This is only part of the problem. Not mentioned is the influence of chemicals in cosmetics lyke shampoos and hair dye. There are chemicals in these products that cause an allergic reaction with hair loss.
