I had a friend tell me that sesame oil applied topically is good for the skin. I have been using some walnut oil lately, because I think I read in a health-food store magazine that it has "good fats," and that would be one of the touted Omegas. I think. (Sigh.) Thanks for this informative blog, ma'am, I like reading that orally ingested Vitamin E is helpful and that GREEN TEA is helpful also for the skin (actually, I had two Chinese ladies tell me that once, so--there ya have it!). The World's oceans are overfished. Urging us to eat more cod -indeed to eat ANY cod, is irresponsible. Also, these food articles never say how much of food X is one supposed to eat? Ten cups of green tea a day? One cup a week? Broccoli every day? How much? Be specific!

You are wrong on your fats. Omega 6 is never anti-inflam unless it is conjugated linoleic acid or gamma linoleic acid. all others are pro-inflam. The prostaglandin produced is PgE3 which is the mack daddy of inflammation markers. Also, most salmon and tilapia are farm raised meaning they are feed grain and worse meaning they are full of omega6 and are pro-inflam. check the biochemistry please.
