can anyone tell me how long do Hot Flashes stay with a person who is on or has been on menopause i'm seemed to have had them for about 5years

Hey I want to get off of these Hrt pills.... But very time i try I get No SLEEP... So now I'm I'm on a lower dose But my Doctor still wont take me off of them, because I tell her I need to get some sleep. But Now I tryed the lower dose hrt pill and I still can't sleep... and i don't want to take sleeping pills.What should I doooo...I am 46yrs.old I have tryed Everything tooo... PLEASE HELPPPPP

I am just starting the pre-menopause thing. Dang the hot flashes are all that has been described to me. I hope to make it with throw with grace. lol If that is possible.

What are the first signs of menopause. Right now I'm still having periods, but they start out regular flow, up to the second day then up to the rest of the five to seven days it would be light spotting. Is this when my menstral cycle is getting ready to stop. May 21, I will be 46 years old. Can you help me with some information on this. Ann
