I agree Debbie, BACK TO BASICS! You don't need any of so called "STATE OF THE ART DIET PLANS. People need to go back to the "OLD SCHOOL" way of getting healthy.. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out. Eat healthy (proper portions) Get rid of the "JUNK"..And exercise. PLAIN and SIMPLE! You just gotta want it!! :)...GZ

When will this whole diet and "secrets of fitness" frantic stupidity end? Finally, someone said it. There are no secrets to fitness, no special workout, no special diet, no special anything; just plain and simple exercise, nutrition and rest. And please notice that I said nutrition, not diet. Thanks for the article, I have been saying this for so long, but I guess that someone else had to say it.

MOTIVATION AND ENERGY, thank you!!! I need my energy, I need NOT to get cranky and hungry so this sounds perfect, easier to follow than what is out there now! A lifestyle change NOT a diet. It is as the first poster said...you have to WANT it to follow it! I will report back in 2 weeks.

PRAISE BE!!! The Truth is told! There are very simple things that people need to do and the MAIN one is to get back to the basics. Your stomach should only be the size of your fist. You should only eat a fist full of food at each seating. A PLATE is NOT a SERVING! Unless it is a DOLL PLATE!!! We need to MOVE too. Get out side HAVE SOME FUN! Walk those parks that your tax dollars paid for! See nature up close! That is what works THAT is what will get you back to where you want to be!

Almost every weight loss product or exercise machine on the market has a disclaimer that states you must eat sensibly and exercise. I tried to fight that for a long time, but it is the truth. There is not magic pill or magic workout that will do it for you.

hy every one i just want to clarify that what you consume gives u good health or illness. The medicines you all are consuming these days gift you illness for your whole life which you can notice around you. so consume less, make your will power so strong to shatter in the lust to eat fast food. Please follow my advice for 10 days stop eating fast food and i assure you all you will feel the difference. stick to the home made hygenic and healthy food which will give you a healthy way to live your entire life

I lost 50lbs exercising 5 days a week and watching what I ate. No need for a miracle pill, just willpower and the desire to succeed.

Listen to that little voice in your head that says "You really don't want that second helping, do you?" or "Why don't we turn off the TV and take the dog for a walk." I agree with the article. Just do what you already know you should be doing. Go to the mall, walk around, and stay away from Orange Julius. Suddenly you'll be shopping 5-7-9 unstead of Lane Bryant.
