She tells us that the vest is optional, so it's not really an ad. She is just explaining what works for her. I assume she is very fit and needs the extra weight to increase the intensity of the workout. I, on the other hand, have enough extra weight of my own! The program looks great and will be a big help to me. It's just what I have been looking for

I am having trouble getting rid of pregnancy belly. I was bed ridden in a hospital last 6 weeks and after 2 years of eating heallthy and excersize to my belly and thigh areas I still look pregnant. I was able to drop from 140 to 124 but can not get the inches off in my middle. Do you have any ideas I can try. I am limitted in income and can not do a program. J Feden

I walk/hike close to 21-25 miles a week and I have not seen a significant amount of weight loss. I am thinking that I should walk less. I normally walk 6-8 miles a day, with hills everyday. It looks like less is more. What am I doing wrong?

Walking is probably the easiest way to exercise. I love walking long distances. It's nice to see our surroundings. Other people, grass, parks, beautiful bright skies. I usually tiighten my glutes as I'm walking and hold in my abs. It may sound nuts. But, it works.

I have tried everything! I am an exercise enthusiest who loves to walk/jog/run for miles. I also go to the gym 3-5 days a week to do 35 mins on the eliptical, 30 mins on the track or treadmill, weight training 3 days, and a 45 min spinning class 3 days a week. However, i work really hard and change it up quite a bit, but am stuck! Anyone have any ideas?

Interesting but I didn't like the tone. I prefer hints with suggestions for people verses just telling them what you do. A lot of us need motivation to take walks verses wearing walk vests. I, myself take a walk once a week to the liquor store to get my lotto tickets, then I take the long way home.

If your having problems with weight management despite the fact you are using walking as a form of exercise then the culprit is more than likely your diet. Google the following: Dr. Gotts, No Flour, No sugar Cookbook Personally I prefer circuit traing with weights and doing whole body workouts over isolation exercises. Lean muscle mass not only makes you look good but it requires your body to burn more calories to maintain itself. Of course a combination of circuit training and cardio is optimal. Good Health to all !!!

Great article! The idea of changing up your workouts frequently and never letting your body adapt avoids the routine and mundane. The body is remarkable in finding plateaus. Which is essentially the body's way of adjusting to status quo. Frequency and intensity to your workouts avoids the opportunity to hit plateaus and continue to see results. About every 8 weeks, I simply take a week off and do nothing and just let my body completely rest. The following week I start back up and always see positive results.
