The only way to gain weight is to take in more calories than you burn. Plain and simple. The Ensure weight gain shake will pack a lot of calories in a small, convenient meal. I don't think there's a problem with consuming more than one of them, but I wouldn't comsume them exclusively. Eat a well balanced diet, calorie rich, and supplement with your Ensure shakes. If you do this on a consistant basis, excercise and make sure you consume more calories than you burn, you should gain weight safely and slowly.

I've been making meal replacements for quite some time now. When you make it homemade, there's more flexibility to change out the flavor with different fruit or all natural fruit juices. It doesn't get so boring or leave much of a vitamin taste if you adjust accordingly with extra fruit juice or fruit. It's also less expensive to make it homemade and easier to control the sweetness level of it than brand name shakes.

I personally, am not into meal replacement bars very often, however with all the flavors and textures offered, I don't consider them boring and I have never had a vitamin aftertaste. Shouldn't these experts be sharing expert opinions verses their own? Such as "two out of three consumers found the options boring" verses, "they are boring and leave a vitamin aftertaste." I do agree that meal replacement bars are good in a time crunch, However, so is a Snickers bar since it has peanuts for energy.

I think their good if you have at least one solid meal a day and the rest meal replacement,I think you would be consistant if you didnt deprive your craving for regular food, something healthy of course.

Who cares? There're way too many rumors coming out each day. Who knows which one is true and which one is not. It's said britney is now on ++++wealthy mingle, com finding her son a new father.

Too many meal replacements are so high in sugar, that I end up feeling hungry after I eat them...I stick to whole foods now.

MET-RX meal replacement is by far the best.I use the extreme chocolate flavor and instead of milk or water i use orange juice. It sounds nasty but it is really good also put a half a banana in it.With a little ice cubes to make it a little thicker.
