The FDA is now recommending 7-13 fresh, raw fruits and vegetables each day.

it's wise and economical to buy fresh goods than canned ones because you're paying the tin can that's used to store it. I really prefer fresh fruits

Alaso important to read where these canned goods come from. Not all vegies in cans and/or frozen have a benefit if their country of origin is suspect,i.e., China

well. as healthy as fruits and vegetables are... I have heard that too many canned and frozen foods are bad for you. even if the foods inside are healthy. The canned foods and frozen foods methods contain unhealthy chemicals that are not good for you and it is because these chemicals make the food last so long. so like the article said it is healthier for the FRESH fruits and vegetables. but it is not bad to have the canned and frozen foods occasionally... but try to stick with the FRESH foods...

How much fruit a day shoud a female adult eat a day in pounds or grams? (It is said that five servings of fruits and vegetables each day should be eaten, but how much is that in pounds or grams?)

You neglected to mention to read the labels of the canned foods. So many of them have too much salt and sugars added. Not good!

I cannot believe you're trying to tell me it's better to eat canned carrots than fresh. I won't believe that for a minute and have read evidence from other medical doctors stating otherwise.

I figured there would be a list of vegetables and fruits and then you would tell if they were better canned or frozen. This article was somewhat helpful.
