I have a hard time believing that a man feels great if he is complimented on having nice feet. What is with that??? We live in a world where what we do wrong is more recognized in what we do right. It is important to praise your man as often as you might dress him down. Unfortunately lifes stressors sometimes get in the way of how you treat your mate. Some good points were made in the article and I think most women should simply view it as a wake-up call, that men as we woman do like to feel valued.

Women generally expect compliments from men, and often ( from my observations as a man ) get them. Men like them too, but for some reason women do not as frequently or as sincerely ( often giving them wryly) reciprocate. It is no wonder that the women who attract men so easily are usually those who can make us feel good about ourselves once in a while. It is not that we crave insincere flattery, but that we long for simple appreciation for who we are and what we do in this world. How many unabashed and unconditional love songs have been writtenby men, over the ages, about and for women? Too many to count. How many have been written, without irony or reservation, by women about and for men? Not so easy to list, are they? Women today are very prone to saving their positives for media idols or real life 'bad boys', while neglecting or ignoring the real-life good guys who are all around them -- many of whom give so much to the women and children in their lives, with little appreciation or encouragement. Food for thought, ladies!

I'm not really sure what planet you're residing on, but your comments are so 'male chauvanistic'. As a Father of two and a Grandfather of five, being appreciated for who I am is far more important to me. Your observations indicate a great lack of self confidence. When you are comfortable with yourself, you then exude an aura that many women find extremely attractive.

Another thing is -- in front of his friends and family, never criticize him, make fun of him, embarrass him -- but honor him. I did a little thing with my manfriend the other day (we're too old for the term "boy/girl friend"). We were at a birthday party with his friends and family, and I did simple thing. I asked him if he would like me to bring him his dessert. He told me I didn't have to, and I said "I want to serve you." He smiled and turned red and silently nodded. When I returned with his dessert, his friends applauded me. Trivial thing, but it made him feel like a million -- that I treasure him and want to please him. My response to the applause was "we do things for eachother." Which is true. He baked me a cake the other day.
