I really liked this article, and usually cheverejd, I really agree with most of what you say in response to this blog. But not this time. I meant to tell you that the last time David posted. Out of curiosity, are you male, or female? ANYWAY, my point being that Davide has a really good take on this. We are so star struck, and so addicted to celebrity in this nation, that alot of people, who have an increasingly difficult time distinguishing between reality and Hollywierd, are taking thier cues from television, movies, and magazines, instead of from the foundation laying values that they were suppossed to learn from thier competent adult parents. Unfortunately, the traditional family unit in this country is no longer the norm, but rather the exception. And because of that sad fact, in the absence of moral guidelines from loving parents and adults, that are based on something OTHER than the media frenzy, people turn to whatever is screaming the loudest in thier lives. And for too many people, that's the celebs, and hype surrounding them. My point being that David draws a distinctive line between hype and reality here. Well done.
