Interesting that the reasons still seem like indirect excuses. Also, this implies it's up to the woman to prevent it when ultimately, it's up to an individual to control any impulse to cheat. BTW, welcome to Yahoo blogland! It should be fun to have a male blogging on the Mysteries of the Sexes!

Hey, welcome to the Yahoo blogs! I think men have needed a forum to address topics relevant to them for quite some time(not counting the one Yahoo has for senior males). Now although you preface your reasoning as not being excuses, they're still just that. One underlying factor that's missing in this discussion is the need for honest communication. As much as some men might identify with some of these reasons, it's a little disheartening that there was no mention of the need to acknowledge it takes two people to be in a relationship, and that men can't exist in a vacuum. Communication is key in making it work. Relationships are always evolving and we women need to know when something's amiss or changing. Once again, welcome!! :-)

afac, I think alot of men don't know what they are feeling, or why, or how they are motivated. And if the guy starts to open up we are all over him, and most men aren't up to the same speed as their wife when it comes to emotions and communication.

Look at this blog so far, all women. No offense intended here, but what would happen if we women shut up and let them work their own way through it? Personally, I suspect this would be one dead blog!

This all sounds great, I do think however, this so called "Mans world" we live in is changing. Women as well, will stray for the same reason...Both sexes better work hard together if its going to work! I agree with you that it takes some attention, but hey, we need it too! Thx, LC

WOM - That's if you make a big assumption that all women sabotage communication once their men open up to them. There are many women who are sensitive listeners. Just like there are many men who are faithful to their partners. Many of these things are not gender-specific.

Men and women alike, cheating is done to fulfil ones lust. We basically know that lust is the desire to fulfil ones soul and love is the desire to fulfil the other person's soul. God's intention for a husband and wife is that they both should become one flesh. Hence, any cheating is termed as sin and adultery in the eyes of God and is a serious issue. In our physical life, it gives rise to guilt and depression which is fuelled by further cheating and promiscuous attitudes and then becomes an addiction. Satan uses this technique to get us dead and in his arms. Praise be to the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ who not only died for us but also rose from the dead and has victory over the devil and death. There is no sin that is too dirty for him to cleanse. He is all merciful and coming to him can rid you of your sins and addiction before it's too late. You can ask him to come into your life and reveal himself to you right now. Society vilifies, belittles, humitates, insults, debases and verbally abuses MEN in order to bolster the frail FEMALE ego. Does anybody realy think that the girls don't go out looking for it too? I have a friend who ruined 3 marriages because SHE couldn't stay away from MEN. She once told Me that She had slept with over 1500 MEN (and several hundred WOMEN). Is SHE on trial? I'm neither a "Greek God" nor a "stud" but even so I have slept with 7 MARRIED WOMEN (All of whom were friends {and still are}) because THEY asked Me to! Promiscuity is equally inherent in both sexes. If You want to sell books all You have to do is to appeal to Female vanity (much the same way as you would if you wanted to bed them down), and blame men for all things reprehensible.

Afac, not what I was implying at all. The speed at which we react and repond emotionally often overwhelms a man's attempts to idenify, process and communicate what is going on with him. Generally speaking,of course, men tend to be more focused and we come at them with our own emotions, like a tidal wave. Not that we can help it, most of the time.

Oh, well..It's always the idea that men are polygamous by nature that drives these men to mess around a lot or date and have sex with other women aside from their partners. It's just like Jack stumbling on a pot of gold that men is able to pull up a very good excuse to hit on other women while still in a relationship, and this is since time immemorial. "Whoa! Jackpot!" they say, "I'm a man and people would understand if I cheat because I got whole bunch of reason to make mistakes, even repeatedly...blah..blah!" Unfortunately, for women, the rule is like that of an Overly-developed-dictatorial-kind of baseball game: ONE STRIKE AND YOU'RE OUT!Tsk..tsk...

It is mentioned clearly in the bible that once married a man an a women become one flesh. I do not see any reason why men will keep quite if they are not happy in a relationship while God blessed us with the necessary tools to use for communication. It is just lust which drives men into cheating and they should not give excuses for that. Although both men and women have got equal opportunity to cheat, I advise both of them to receive God and try to leave by the bible am sure that is the only cure.

Nowadays most men are cheaters.I'm not excluding some women, not so much so though! Men in general fall right through their desires, going stray is the reflection of their narcissism. Common sense has no bounderies, yes society is changing and for the worst, which too many fail to see or refuse to look at. The more it goes and the more HIV, AIDS,etc are spread around. That's all because of stray people. Peace, Mic.
