Great menu ideas, and fast too. I'm a second shift worker so most of these ideas will work for me to take to work, and they can be reheated in microwave. Yummy snacks that will give me the end of the day energy I need! Thanx!!

I have two kids and a wierd schedule, Not to mention a BUDGET! Do you have something cheaper? I can't afford to spend all my money on one day's meals. I have to feed a family of four 3 meals a day, 7 days a week on $100. Your plan is simply too expensive for those of us on a tight budget. Sorry but I'll have to find a different option.

There's plenty of ways to make this diet work for you even if you work full-time and have a family. How about preparing large quantities of baked chicken and salad in advance that way you can just measure out what you need and re-heat it. Or getting your kids to help with the food preparation. That way you can spend time with your kids, help them learn to cook, and eat healthily. People can make this work, they just choose not to because they'd rather make excuses for themselves.

What a ridiculous diet! How many fat people do you really think can stop at 1 Oz of chocolate or pudding or 2 Tablespoons of peanut butter? Lets face it most people that are over weight are that way because they have a lack of discipline, lack of excersize and no concept of potion control. This diet sounds to me like a recipe for failure to me.

I must agree with the others. If I had time to do this, then yes it sounds great. Not all of us have a CUSH job that we can send recipes to the internet and have extra time on our hands.

I have copied and pasted this plan into MS Word and replaced what I don't like with options from the other days so I am all set. My kids are actually looking forward to McDonald's becoming a special treat, not a regular occurance. I know they will need a little more food than this but I will have some healthy snacks on hand. Thanks so much for providing this menu! I am a busy Mom of two and this does not look difficult at all. :)

First of all i would like to say that this diet is great!!! For all of you that think its too much to do b/c you have kids and no time...your all lazy and you will never lose weight. The food listed in this diet takes very quickly to prepare. Breakfast, lunch, snack takes about 5 min and the dinner well how hard is it to grill or bake a piece of salmon and dial your chinese takeout place. Anyway,I'm a nutrition major and i think it can't get any easier than this diet so thank you.

This plan looks good. To make it a bit easier to follow a printable shopping list would help. That way you buy all the needed goodies in one stop, pull them out of the fridge and throw together these meals easily.

Yes, most of us have a house and a full time job. I also have 4 kids. From reading articles like this and researching websites like the Mayo Clinic, I have already been on a similar plan for the last year and a half. I have lost 34 lbs. I also alternate exercises like walking and crunches for 20 minutes a day. I can't afford things like wasabi but it doesn't take all day to cook sensible meals for our family.

I agree that this "diet" is easy. It's how I normally eat anyway. Easy food is another word for fast food. Give up the fast food America. The above post is right about people using too many excuses not to be healthy. I have 6 kids, I'm a kindergarten teacher, and I get up at 5am to make sure I get my run in every other morning. I pack my lunch the night before to make sure I choose the right things. I see so many teachers eating the junk in school because it's easy. What happens when everyone drops those lbs.? Please women, don't go back to your regular eating. Keep this program, you'll never have a weight problem.

What is up with the diet people they have to get kick back for handing out diets that call for expensive foods for diets. I think I will just wing it on my own can't afford all those tips when they call for expensive products.

Get over yourself? malkovicho3! So you have all the time in the world and money to buy and prepare things do you have no compassion to the common man or woman? It is hard to make separate things for family and the person who is striving to make themselves health and afford to do both! I tire of no it all's that think they are so hot.

wow, reading all these comments, it looks like a lack of desire to try and do better for one's self. Prep is one of the ingredients to help slow down the eating. I am going to give it my best. jose

I would have to disagree with those of you believing that everyone has the time and money, and that their negative or lazy attitude is what's keeping them from doing this. I come from a very poor home where something like this was unsustainable for long. Yet, my mother always found ways around our situation to feed me right. Attacking these people and completely ignoring their situations, does not help at all; a central reason why so many personal trainers are so unsuccessful, is this precisely. There's not a universal solution that works for everyone. A customized program, taking into consideration, time, budget, energy (not everyone feels like exercising right after work), and many other factors, is a much better approach to helping people. For those of you who can follow this diet, congratulations, you have one less excuse now to hold on to, to the others, keep looking, there is a plan out there that will work for you...good luck.
