The lonetart program is just another sales pitch. The free .pdf is nothing special - just enough to scare you into thinking you need to pay for their program. Don't believe da hype!

The three-food interference is a great strategy. At least 2 of the 3 foods needs to be filling like most fresh fruit or fresh veggies.

Everytime I attempt to read comments in these Yahoo Health blogs, I have to wade through countless LoneStartNow sales pitches. Administrators: How about setting up a word-filter to prevent these people from monopolizing the blogs with their self-serving scams? Any post that mentions that company would automatically be rejected.

i guess we should reject all the weight watchers, atkins, south beach and on and on references as well. just to be fair. i see lonestartnow as well, but i don't see a sales pitch there, just reference to one of many legitimate programs people use. i just wanted to read the blog about how to avoid emotional eating, and if someone's doing any program, and i don't care if it's lonestartnow or what, if they have advice, i want to hear it. i also like to know what program the info comes from, just like i like to know where certain statistics come from. information should have a source and i for one, like to know the source. i also suggest we might want to get back to the topic--how to avoid emotional eating.

#7 If you've been reading long, you'd know that the lonetart ppl never post w/o mentioning their program. You'll rarely see all the other programs combined mentioned half as much. I agree w/ #5.

Well, I happen to like it when people post the names of programs on here that I have never heard of. I have posted and even copied things from their website on here that I thought would be helpful and on topic. I have gotten great information from them and other posters as well. Putting all the bickering of some posters aside, I like Joy’s idea of finding alternatives to eating. Quite often I find that if I just go in a different direction, I no longer crave something to eat. In the same vein, I saw on the message support board of “a nameless program”, that one person looks at cookbooks when she gets an urge to eat. I tried it, and thought of different ways I could substitute something healthy for some of the items in recipes to make them better for you. It works to distract the urge, and you can come up with some pretty good meal ideas too.

As if people didn't already know not to reach for comfort food in response to whatever mood; this article is pointing out the obvious. Why can't Yahoo feature more useful content?

Actually, I didn't know about half of the stuff on here, so I found it to be useful. And that's all I have to say.

Honestly, my minefield is work. I can't get up and take a walk (call center, chained to my headset). I deal with screaming, angry people all day, and the family member that lives close is constantly nagging me to quit without having any advice for paying my bills or just trading one crappy job for another. I REALLY want a hug, but I can't get one. Too often, chocolate has to be the runner up.
