Learned much from your site. Thanks much appreciated I was taking 1200 dose of vitaminD on doctor's regime for me I am indoors too much and feel run down. He advised to take this dose however I see you say my body won't absorb but 500 at a time will ask my doctor to give me doseage prescription a bit lower or if I can cut the pill in half and take half in the morning and half at dinner time.

I am concerned about your comment on Omega 3 fatty acids. Since many companies have gotten"on the band wagon" and are promoting pills with OMEga 3 fatty acids, people do not know that there are 3 kinds, and that canola oil and flaxseed do not contain the kind that promote heart health. Also, my doctor has told me that in medical reviews, she has learned that Kirkland (Costco brand) Fish Oil/Omega 3 pills are not the best kind and to look at Trader Joe's or other supplements. Otherwise, I appreciate your articles. Dina T

Some excellent advice. Your Doctor can run a blood test to see if you are defficent in Vitamin D..it's surprising how many of us older ladies and men are defficent in Vitamin D. + Calicium
