dont think getting rid of rice, potatoes, bread, or any other starchy food from your diet is good. moderation not deprivation!!!!!! drink lots of water also. and a good 30-45 min walk with some weight training would be good for all.

My situation /question is I have hit a plateau have not budged for two weeks. I only take in an average of 900-950 calories a day now should I really drop another 200 calories off? My diet is very clean, I log and measure 100% of what goes in my mouth and I work out 75 minutes a day a combo of aerobic and strength. Any suggestions? Thank you.

All your advice seems very good, but where is the mens section. Everything is pointed to a women and this sort of puts of many men. Do you have an Ediet specifically for men. We might be more interested if you did.

As many women have a low or borderline low thyroid hormone output, why is this never a consideration? So far as the cruciferous vegetables, they are a contra indication for low thyroid conditions. Why is the salt intake never considered? I have yet to review any nutritional expert's advice that mentions any of these concerns. Perhaps the reference manual needs updating? In any case, best wishes to all who want to stay healthy.

I understand about the plateau, what I want to know is once I lose all of the weight what do I do about the extra skin, I've read where people have lost 100+ lbs. Did they have surgery to remove extra skin, or does the strength training and ab exercises tone everything, just wondering, because I am on my way.

Well the common mistake made by women is not reaching for the free weights...you know Dumbbells. Women seem to fear the weight room and there is no reason to. The amount of fat burned by incorporating some heavy training is ridiculous. Women are worried about gaining muscle mass, but, you will not at all unless you take testosterone or crazy supplements. You will simply burn out more fat and feel awesome. Add a weight training regime to your daily gym visit and i promise you wont be sorry!!!

I have reached a point where I have increased my workouts because I stopped losing weight. I take in a lot of water, eat right, but I can not lose any more weight. Any suggestions? http://ProductsForHealthReview.blogspot.com

My family only eats wheat bread and pasta. It's not a good idea to completely eliminate "ALL" starches, they give us energy and helps reduce reduce cholesterol (whole wheat.) I do agree with not eating after 8 pm, but, using Crest white strips to curb your appetite seems quite "odd!"

Im getting tired of all these stupid yahoo articles. Exercise, limiting portion size are common sense. The best thing to do to break through plateaus is actually to eat more to trick your body into burning calories. This is called a cheat meal. Basically eat really healthy for 6 days and eat pizzza on your 7th. Your body will keep thinking you are eating excess and keep burning more fat.
