I can't believe the FDA allows pure fat to be advertised as 'Fat Free'. Allowing them to set the portion size unrealistically small (some sprays have 300+ servings per bottle) to keep the total amount of fat

Everything should be enjoyed in moderation. Too much of anything can be just as bad.

Wow! The whole canister?? That's crazy! As a sidebar to "Ian L" - Yes, aware of fried ice cream. They serve it in a great many Mexican restaurants (El Torito is first to come to mind since they frequently advertise it) but also a lot of American food places. Tried it once. The shell is so dang thick (to make sure the ice cream doesn't melt, I guess) that it's nasty tasting and altogether too sweet.

Well, duh. Of course there's fat, especially if you use the whole bottle. Plus chemicals that you don't even want to know about. But if you use just a few sprays, it really does help with your diet. I spray potatoes with it and put them in the oven and it does help make some nice crunchy fries that are much healhier for you. But a whole can of it? What a nut.

Good to know! I always wondered about that. Actually, about a week ago when we had pasta for dinner and since I don't really like sauce very much I use the Weight Watchers Butter Spray and I even said "I don't see how this stuff can be zippo in fat that's amazing if it really is". Nevertheless, I use NOWHERE NEAR a whole can (although come close when I pop a huge load of air popped popcorn for the family :). Thaks for the 411!

That is good to know about being careful with the trigger, because I always use cooking spray when I eat eggs, and I usually coat the pan with it. In the future I guess I'm not going to coat the pan so much:)

Referencing the person who poured an entire 800 calorie bottle of "fat free spray" onto her potato, I guess we should assume that we should use a little commonsense! How stupid was that?
